2nd Annual Turkey Step Off

At 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2010, the North Carolina Turkey Festival will proudly host the 2nd Annual Turkey Step Off at Hoke County High School. The event, co-sponsored by Hoke High's B Phi B team, will be open to all Step Teams in High School or Junior High School. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in both divisions with a monetary award being given to both 1st place teams. Admission to the event will be $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for students (K-12) with student ID, and free for children under the age of 4 years. Concessions will be available. Mark your calendars for this event so you can come out to be part of the fun and show community support to the youth of Hoke County.

3rd Annual Turkey Throw Down

At 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2010, the 3rd Annual Turkey Throw Down will take place at the Armory Ball Park on Central Avenue in Raeford. Doors will open at 6:00 pm with wrestling matches beginning at 7:00 pm. Come out and support your favorite Carolina Ring Wars Wrestler at this family-oriented event. Ring Wars Carolina is an independent professional wrestling company based out of Hope Mills, NC. They have been hosting matches for seven (7) years with the last five (5) years focused in the Carolinas. Their mission is to provide quality entertainment that is fun for the whole family. In addition, they have been very supportive of events in Raeford and Hoke County, including both the NC Turkey Festival and the Relay for Life. Entry fee will be $5.00 per person.
