Children's Day

Though in the past this day has been especially designed for the school children of Hoke County, this year a special invitation is extended to all the day-cares, home-schools and anyone else that would like to come to the Library Stage for a morning of fun. Beginning at 9:30 am, young and old alike will be entertained with storytelling, musical entertainment, clowns, magic shows and interaction with the audience.

Turkey Festival Parade

The Turkey Festival Parade will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010, with Opening Ceremonies at 4:00 pm in City Hall for all sponsors, elected officials, and city/county dignitaries. Then, beginning at 5:15 pm, in front of City Hall on Main Street, the presentation of Colors will be held followed by the National Anthem and a brief program to recognize those people who make the Festival possible each year. Beginning at 5:30 pm, the NCTF Parade will be coming down Main Street with floats, bands, fire trucks, marching units, and much more for viewers of all ages to enjoy .
