Turkey Cooking Contest

NC Turkey Cooking Contest 2008

The North Carolina Turkey Festival and the North Carolina Poultry Federation are once again sponsoring the North Carolina Turkey Cooking Contest as part of the 24th Annual North Carolina Turkey Festival.

Five finalists will be competing for the top award-winning recipe of $1,000.00 with total prize money in the amount of $2,400.00.

To Enter:

Entrant must be a resident of North Carolina and living in North Carolina at the time of the contest, September 20, 2008.

Recipes should be typed or handwritten on 8 ½ x 11 inch paper with name, address and phone number on EACH recipe entered.

Recipe must include one (1) pound of turkey meat.

Recipe can be marinated, baked, broiled, grilled, stir-fried, etc.

Recipe may be served as a salad, horse d’oeuvre, entrée, soup, etc.

Recipe should serve four (4) or more people

Recipe must not exceed three (3) hour preparation time.

Mail recipes for entry no later than Monday, June 23, 2008 to: North Carolina Turkey Festival at 101 North Main Street, Raeford, NC 28376. Entries received after June 23rd will not be considered.
