Dear Parade Participant,
The 25th Annual North Carolina Turkey Festival is fast approaching. Plans are being made for the week September 11-19th with our annual Turkey Bowl being on the 11th and the 1st Annual Step Competition on the 12th to make this years’ festival the huge enjoyment and success it is has been in the past.
One of the most anticipated events each year is the Parade which will be held on Thursday, September 17th beginning at 5:30 pm.
If your business, school or church would like to purchase a manufactured float the cost this year is either $400.00 or $455.00 depending on the float you choose and all floats must be paid for prior to September when they will be ordered. To pick out a float please come to the Chamber Building located at 101 North Main Street any day Monday-Thursday between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Walking unit or a homemade float will be admitted free, all Little Misses, Kings, Queens, etc., will be charged $25.00.

We will be holding a meeting with a representative of each participant on Monday, September 14th to discuss the new route and to give information for parking for those participating.
Deadline for entry to the parade is Tuesday, September 1st and we certainly hope that you will once again be a part of our celebration of Turkey Festival.
